EDM4V exists because the same belonging that defines a great military unit lives inside every great EDM festival crowd — and veterans deserve to find it again.
After 22 years of service — enlisted and officer — mechanized unit, OCS, 82nd Airborne, 3rd Special Forces Group — Rob Bailey found himself with everything gone. Career, family, home, savings, and freedom. Traditional therapy failed. Medications made it worse.
The unexpected breakthrough came at EDC Orlando. What he found there didn't just distract him. It rebuilt him. He lost 25 lbs. He weaned off 10 medications. He quit drinking. He found his tribe again. Then came Groove Cruise 2024 — a Trivecta set — and the mission crystallized.

When other veterans started calling asking what he was doing differently, EDM4V was born. Incorporated January 2025. 501(c)(3) granted. First veterans sent to EDC Orlando 2025 cost-free. The mission was live.
To Free the Oppressed
The shemagh started as a way to blend into the crowd. It became something else entirely.
In the early festivals, Rob found himself pulling, squeezing, and working the fabric — unconsciously at first — to dissipate the anxiety that comes with large crowds. It was a grounding tool. Something tactile to hold onto when the environment felt like too much.
It also became a signal. When pulled over the head during moments of self-reflection, introspection, or an overwhelming emotional bout, it communicates without words: I need space. Those around the veteran instinctively go into overwatch — giving space, staying close, saying nothing. No explanation required. The tribe understands.
EDM4V doesn't drop veterans into a crowd and wish them luck. Every participant moves through a structured, supported experience built on the team dynamics veterans already understand.
No veteran attends alone. Every participant is paired with a fellow veteran before the festival begins — a familiar structure that makes a new environment immediately navigable.
An advance team of veteran mentors, already embedded in the festival community, receives participants and provides continuity. They've been there. They know the terrain.
Standard Access — veterans receive free tickets to EDM events and festivals. No cost, no barrier to entry.
Full Immersion — the complete EDM4V experience. Ticket, travel, lodging, food, and an EDM4V swag bag. Our goal is to make this available to every veteran we serve.
The festival is the entry point, not the destination. EDM4V maintains an active community between events so the belonging doesn't end when the music stops.
